Our Story

We Grew Trade by Trade — Because Our Clients Asked Us To.

Maximus started in Everett as a cleaning operation serving multifamily communities. Cleaning got us into the building. Then a property manager asked whether we could paint, because scheduling the painter was breaking her turnover calendar. Then carpet. Then the repairs and the punch-list carpentry that no vendor wanted to own.

Every division we have was pulled into existence by a client who needed it. That is why we now have four — and why we can take a vacant unit and hand it back lease-ready without a second vendor entering the building.

We are not a cleaning company that also paints. We are an integrated facilities partner built specifically for the multifamily turnover, in a market where a vacant day costs real money — serving Everett, Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Malden, Medford, Chelsea, Revere, Beverly and Waltham.

What We Stand For

Six Commitments You Can Actually Check

Every one of these is verifiable against a document, a system record or a photograph. If a value can't be audited, it isn't a value — it's decoration.

Evidence Over Assurance

Every job is geo-verified, photo-documented, and inspected by someone who didn't perform it. We don't ask you to trust us. We show you.

One Scope, One Schedule, One Invoice

Vendor fragmentation is your problem to endure and our problem to solve. Integration is not a convenience here — integration is the product.

Compliance Is Not Paperwork

Lead-safe practice, W-2 employment, licensed-trade boundaries. In Massachusetts these are not formalities. They are what protects your building.

The Unit Is the Unit

We measure ourselves per unit delivered, not per hour billed. That is why our incentive and your incentive point in the same direction.

Self-Performed, Not Subcontracted

Every trade on the critical path is a Maximus employee, supervised by a Maximus supervisor. That is the whole reason the schedule holds.

We Built the Systems

Scheduling, dispatch, field verification and billing are proprietary — built and paid for out of operations, because off-the-shelf software could not prove what we needed to prove.

Accountability

Who Owns What

Four divisions could easily mean four people to chase. It doesn't, because the account structure is designed the other way around: one contact for you, one supervisor per trade, and a quality function that reports to neither.

Our Commitment

Licensed, Insured, and Accountable

Most contractors our size take the margin out of the business. We put it back in — into the systems, the SOP library, the quality function, the certifications, the fleet and the training program. That is why we can prove what we do. Most of our competitors can only tell you about it.

  • Massachusetts Licensed & InsuredFull commercial general liability and workers' compensation on every job.
  • W-2 Field WorkforceEmployed, background-checked and trained to written SOPs. No cash labor on your property.
  • OSHA-Compliant Safety ProgramA written program our crews are trained against — not a line on a proposal.
  • Massachusetts Lead-Safe PracticeOn pre-1978 housing, which describes most of Boston's stock. The state program is stricter than the federal rule, and we work to it.
  • Certificates of Insurance on RequestIssued to property managers on request, naming additional insureds as required.
  • Institutional Vendor OnboardingRegistered on institutional vendor procurement platforms, with the insurance and documentation package those processes require.
